FFRI is an independent research center dedicated to promoting inclusivity for all and combating all forms of marginalization. We adopt feminist methodologies to produce decolonized and de-westernized knowledge that centers the lived experiences of historically marginalized groups. We believe in feminist futures, in the plural, because every form of diversity has the right to envision a future where it can express itself freely.
WHO WE ARE
We are a group of friends and colleagues who met during the Erasmus Mundus+ GEMMA Master's in Women and Gender Studies at the University of York, UK, in 2022.
We co-founded the Feminist Futures Research Institute (FFRI) in August 2024.
WHAT WE DO
Our center integrates feminist methodologies into social research, focusing on social justice and combating all forms of oppression. We challenge traditional ways of doing research, which often excludes or exploits those it aims to address, by prioritizing lived experiences over theory.
